Christmas can not be celebrated alone, sitting in the corner, far from the unhinging crowd. It’s time to carouse with every one else. While enjoying a series of London events, you also help raise funds for people coming from a life of misery, with a common spirit of depravity. So while you shine in the Christmas lights, help others sustain their livelihood. Find out the London Christmas events awaiting your visit:

5k Santa Run:

Every year people in thousands participate in this Christmas event run. No previous experience is required to register it for yourself. The target of the race is to raise funds and not winning the race. So, everyone can join it with a good humour.

When: 5th December 2010, 10am

Where: Greenwich Park

Fund Raising: £100 per runner

A Taste of Christmas:

Celebrations are incomplete without a wholesome feast. So you can settle down yourself to get dominated by great tastes of the gourmet, cheese and chocolate. Get entertained and inspired by a fine serving of the dishes at this Christmas festival.

When: 3-5th December 2010

Where: A Boutique Market

Fund Raising: £19 to £20

Great Christmas Pudding Race:

The Great Pudding Race is a traditional Christmas games. A huge crowd can be spotted running with trays of pudding and getting through the hurdles of the race in sheer fun.

When: 4th December 2010 at 11.30am

Where: Covent Garden Market

Fund Raising: £600

Crisis Christmas:

Crisis Christmas raises funds for the homeless, penniless sufferers, to bring them out of their miserable condition. It is a celebration of charity; so make ample donations at one of the centres of Crisis Christmas, which raises charity once in a year.

When: 23rd – 30th December

Where: 9 centre across London

Fund Raising: £1million

Christmas Tree Lightening Ceremony:

Celebrated since 1947, the tree of the event is over 20 meters high and has the 50-60 years old. This tree is sought with great perseverance and is fell to bring to Trafalgar Square. There will be carol singing along the tree lightening ceremony. A true Christmas celebration event, here get into the colours of the city.

When: 7 to 22 December 2010, 5 to 9pm
